Rev. Varughese K Chacko , (who is known as 'kaycee' in friend circles) is from Kadapra,( Kumbanad), and he is a member of the Mar Thoma Church Koorthamala.

After his School education he Joined Christian College Chengannur and earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Having realized the Call for Christian Ministry, he joined Mar Thoma Theological Seminary Kottayam and graduated in the year 1991.

He was ordained deacon on June 1, 1991, and Kaseessa (presbyter) on June 18, 1991. He served as vicar at Guwahatti, Shillong, Ghaziabad, Noida, Nagpur, Chungathara Salem, Kaippini Bethel, Karuvatta and Karuvatta Salem parishes and also served at, Chandrapur, Bhandara, Madurai and Ambilikkai congregations.

He holds a Post graduate diploma in Human Rights from Nagpur University. He earned his M.Th (Masters in Theology ) from Serampore university after his studies in Tamilnadu Theological Seminary Madurai in the discipline of Social Analysis. He is good reader and interested in reading Theology, Post-modernism and current affairs. Achen is interested in doing regular house visits and is interested in interacting with members of different age groups, especially the youth of the Parish.

He has translated the Biography of Robert Raikes, the Founder of the Sunday School Movement. (Published by CLS).
