Rev Ashish Thomas George

The Rev Ashish Thomas George, our Vicar hails from Kumbanad, Thiruvalla in Kerala. He is a member of Kumbanad Salem Mar Thoma Church. He was born in Kerala and brought up at different parts of Kerala. He has a masters in History from Calicut University. He did his Bachelor of Divinity at Mar Thoma Theological Seminary Kottayam in 2011. 

He was ordained as the priest of Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church in 2011 and was first posted as the Vicar of Vikhroli Mar Thoma Parish Mumbai in 2011. There he served for 4 years. In 2015 he was transferred to Baroda Bethel Mar Thoma Church. After 3 years of ministry , in 2018  he became the Director of the Department of Sacred Music and Communications of the Mar Thoma Church. He is interested in music and composed many songs and conducted Maramon Convention Choir, DSMC Choir and various diocesan choirs. Under his leadership mar Thoma church could start with the online holy communion service from Poolatheen, the residence of Mar Thoma Metropolitan during the Covid pandemic situation. He led singing sessions in many conferences including Annual Clergy meetings, Mar Thoma Students Conference, Sunday school camps and  conducted Music shows with professional singers both in India and abroad. 

Achens'parents are Rev. George Thomas and Marrykutty George (Jolly). They are settled in Kumbanad after 40 years of ministry in the Lord's kingdom. He has two brothers and both of them are ordained priests of Mar Thoma Church. Rev. Gladwin Mathew George is serving as the asst.lecturer at St. Thomas College for Nursing in Kattanam, Kerala and youngest brother Rev. Christo Jacob George is the vicar of Udaipur Immanuel Mar Thoma Church, Rajasthan.

Our Kochamma, Mrs. Tincy Zachariah is from Kayyalakkal, Thumpamon North, Pathanamthitta, Kerala. She did her BCA from Amrita Institute of Computer Technology and MCA from Karunya University, Coimbatore. 

She had been teaching as a guest lecture in Mar Thoma College Thiruvalla. Her parents are  Mr. Zachariah Thomas(late) and Mrs. Rosamma Zachariah. She has two elder sisters, Blessy Zachariah and Betsy Zachariah , both of them are in Dubai with their families. 

Kochamma has served as a Sunday School teacher, continuous to be an active member of Youth league, Choir, Young Family Fellowship, Sevika Sangham and Parish Mission at various levels in all her ministerial locations along with achen. They are blessed with two boys. Jubal George Ashish is Eleven years and attends Grade five. Nivedit Zachariah Ashish is three years old and is in pre-school.
